Trial Victory in “Million Dollar View” Case
Retained to represent plaintiff, the owner of a single-family residence in the hillside community of Mt. Olympus, seeking to remove a large encroaching concrete observation deck owned by defendants, the owners of the neighboring single-family residence uphill from plaintiff. Defendants and their expert valued the deck at $1,000,000 and claimed it provided “million dollar views” of the city. Following four years of litigation and a two week trial, attorneys Lawrence Ecoff and Yaron Tilles prevailed on all causes of action and secured an injunction mandating that defendants remove the encroaching deck at their expense.
